The major objective of this course is to prepare attendees for the ABIM Subspecialty Board Examination in Nephrology (Certification/Re‑Certification). We will convey state‑of‑the‑art information on the pathophysiology, diagnosis and management of renal disorders. The major issues of fluid and electrolyte problems, hypertension, renal disease and the management of acute and chronic renal failure will be addressed. Many outstanding clinicians and teachers have been chosen as course instructors. The program will consist of daily lectures, “meet the professor” luncheons and intensive board review sessions covering the most important topics in nephrology. Throughout the course we will emphasize the practical application of physiological principles to the understanding and management of clinical problems. The course should be most valuable for clinical and academic nephrologists, nephrology trainees and internists, pediatricians and primary care physicians with an interest in nephrology and hypertension. This course should be an excellent intensive board review for those registered to take the nephrology boards and a comprehensive update for those seeking recertification.
